Camp overnight at the Wairere Boulders
Our peaceful campsite offers visitors the opportunity to stay overnight, and enjoy the nature reserve as the nocturnal creatures wake up. In this corner of New Zealand we have some of the clearest night skies in the world, completely unaffected by light pollution.
Lay down on the grass, stare up to the sky and listen to the moreporks calling to each other, what better way could there be to relax and get back to nature?
High Season, (December 1st until Easter): $20/ pitch for up to 2 adults and all kids.
Low Season, ( May until 1st December): Free overnight camping when you pay for entry to the Boulders. Extra night or pitch without Boulder entry $10
In keeping with our environmentally sustainable ethos, we are an ecofriendly, low impact campsite. We have toilets available, but we do not provide showers. There is drinking water available in the toilet block and non-potable water at the boot cleaning station.
